I've listened to his complete piano music, played by Jean Thibaudet. Some pieces are really wonderful and refreshing, and some are outrageously strange and dry. Maybe, it's my personal taste :?

Mozart - Violin Sonata In A Major, K.526

Violinist- Hilary Hahn
Pianist- Natalie Zhu

The second movement, at certain points, has a melody that is very similar to the 2nd movement of Mendelsohn's Italian Symphony. That's what I heard when listening to this gorgeous piece.

I personally like the recording of Radu Lupu with Zubin Mehta, and Israel Philharmonic. The other one would be the recording of Alfred Brendel with Bernhard Haitink, and London Philharmonic Orchestra. I'm sure there are more out there that are equally great, if not, greater than these two recordings...

Did Brahms leave behind any unfinished work or sketches that could be constructed into "new" music? There is a piano trio in A that has been recorded more than once as a Brahms composition. The Ashkenazy-Perlman-Harrell is pretty nice; I can believe that it is Brahms. Does anyone here have any good...
