I have to admit that it's much more difficult for me to make allowances for Levine than it is for, say, Wagner or Karajan. I've always loved his piano pieces and chamber music. And for a time in undergrad he was my favorite composer.

Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra brought him in for a concert while I worked there, and his take on the CPE Bach Cello Concerto in A was absolutely spellbinding. One of my favorite memories from working there.
