My problem with the Schumann is its slow movement, too short and slight to rank the concerto so highly. Not going to add this Odine to my 50’s Gitlis / Horenstein Vox lp and later Vox cd of # 2 , but Tetzlaff certainly worth the hearing, more “ polished” than Gitlis , Gitlis more emotionally “ gritty” sound. Heard only the VC # 2. Would think big fans of the work would want both.
