Recommend Vieuxtemps violin concerto recordings

I'm dying to hear some Vieuxtemps violin concertos. Could anyone care to recommend any particular recordings? Any concertos will do, as long as you consider it excellent stuff.

Also, does anyone know any good recordings of Shostakovich's violin concertos?

I've been thinking about buying a couple CDs worth of ballet music to my goddaughter for christmas, however I'm terribly uneducated when it comes to that kind of music.
