Are reel to reel tapes any good when it comes to quality of sound? I've found two pieces of interest, official releases of a concerto and I was wondering how the quality of sound compares to that of the LP and the CD. She is one of my all time favorite pianists. When she plays Scarlatti I really get goosebumps. She frequently plays Scarlatti in Encores.
Her recordings of Lizst are speedy but I still consider them one of the best choices.
