Waltz is excellent in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained with Jamie Foxx, mentioned in passing in the reprinted article. In Basterds he plays a villainous Nazi SS hunter of the Jews in occupied France, in Django a bounty hunter that cuts the ground out from under Southern racism.

As I recall, Nixon's thugs did the same thing with every error the WAPO (the Wood-Stein duo) made in their reporting. Didn't work then, not likely to work now. I have to admit that it's much more difficult for me to make allowances for Levine than it is for, say, Wagner or Karajan. Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird

Gerwig's highly touted debut film (100% Rotten Tomato critics rating), may be a bit overrated. Still, I found the movie well-acted (Saoirse Ronan, Laurie Metcalf), charming, a bit in the vein of St. Vincent and episodic. Well worth seeing.

There's no good reason for the Met or any other entity to "punish" Levine for activities that have done them no harm. Maybe, maybe not.
