Ansermet & the OSR did the bounciest, friskiest, most impetuous performance of Bartok's Roumanian Folk Dances I've ever heard.

It's on Youtube, but it's chopped into parts. The real wonder of this performance is how Ansermet seems to play them all in one breath....Youtube kills that effect.

Speaking of Dean Dixon, he was also head of Sweden's Gothenburg Symphony. Dixon HAD to establish his career early on, on account of his race.
