Good answer, too, Randall. It points to the need to approach these issues honestly and straightforwardly, without the namaecaling we see too often. It should make for mutually worthwhile discussion if not agreement, which is not likely in any case. but perhaps we may all get something out of it.

I remember reading about his link to Ms. Foss, but this story fleshes out to a much greater extent the lives and characters of three fascinating people.

I'm not sure how the term "multiculturalism," here apparently used somewhat casually, plays in this discussion, or in the German environment - which has managed to absorb immigration, if nowhere near the scale of the US, but at least as a way to fill certain functions in the economy for a long time....
