Once again, I look at how the climate change issue is proselytised and I have so many reservations about the 'science' behind the drive to eliminate carbon emissions. Is global warming real? The data suggests that it is while there is also contradictory data out there as well but I'll run with the f...

I have three favourites, all are very different and I'll do them in alphabetical order. Samuil Feinberg's set is in a realm of its own. There's nothing that sounds remotely like it. In parts he goes a little faster than what seems to be the norm and in other places he plays a little slower. It's the...

Isn't that an inherently racist statement in itself. If it isn't it's at least very patronising. She said she felt proud, energized and empowered to use her “privilege as a white person" to speak out for people who are unable to speak for themselves.

Re: Grocery chain fires self-checkouts and brings the humans back.
If supermarkets are getting rid of self-checkouts it can only be for two reasons: 1. They cannot handle big weekly shopping baskets; 2. Theft; on a grand scale and facilitated by these self-serve checkouts. I imagine that an analysis would show that the incidence of theft has risen quite markedly.

I never use self checkouts as I primarily see them as a way for supermarkets to use less workers. As my usual shop is small and never more than 15 items, I use the checkout set up specifically for small item customers like me and I'm happy to wait in line. If prompted to use a self checkout by one o...

On this at least we don’t appear to disagree: Indigenous Australians, like everyone else, should be treated as individuals. This really shows Richter as the virtuoso and in a number of places his ability to extract some real music from these studies. There is also a lot of bombast which was fairly typical of Richter at the time. The big plus for me is that I really like this interpretation.
