Help on music name

Post by entertainer » Sun Aug 07, 2005 4:20 am

Well, I've been wondering what's the name and the composer of this song. It's a ballet-type, orchestral song and it's famous. When you close your eyes and listen to it, it sounds like your walking on the moon, such and such. I think it was in the Simpsons once when Homer was an astronaut and went up in space. The chips went flying in the spaceship so he started floating in the air to eat them, and the song was on, while Homer was eating in with the beat. I really appreciate it if you help me - thanks :D

You gotta link on this, par chance, sweetie? Sounds like it might be the Satie Gymnopedies - this was done by Sir Fred on the Royal as "Monotones" celebrating the first moon walk - I think it's on video somewhere...my employer has this in the rep...

The Blue Danube Waltz...I'll have to check as I'm interested in that. It's a very famous waltz and has been used in the Simpsons and many classic cartoons. (Loony Tunes)
