Spent about 16 days in the southern states. Loved it, but lots of rain, then sunshine, then huge storms, but very enjoyable nonetheless: swimming, boating, tons of great restaurants, and many friends. Looks like things are going good on CMG! Probably nobody missed me! :
And yes, LOTS of good things waiting for me (CDs!) when I got back!

Welcome back, Lance! I for one wondered why you had gone quiet. Glad to know all is well!

Glad you had such a good time. It must be mental telepathy that I knew your absence was for a good reason.
There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Indeed, it was both all three: HOT, HUMID, and WET, with incredible electric storms, thunder and all the rest. Just about every day pouring rain but then cleared up quite beautifully. While there, I was entranced reading a book Shoot the Conductor by Anshel Brusilow who writes about his associations with Monteux, Ormandy and Szell. That's the way to spend some of the holidays!
