Hello all,
If you like Brahms first Piano concerto (well... it's not my favourite..)
listen to:
http://homepages.ipact.nl/~otterhouse
I've put a 1953 Decca LXT series LP there. It's one of the rare
occasions I found an absolute pristine condition LP in a second hand shop.
Greetings,
Rolf

Wow! I knew only the Curzon/Szell rec and here comes this one! expertly transferred.
You and the other pros at RMCR (Bill Anderson, Damian R, etc.) are so generous in making all this rare material available to the rest of us.
I thought I'd never hear the 1924 Brunswick Tchai 1812 Overture, the Cleveland Orchestra's first commercial recording, but there it was in a beautiful transfer.
Bravo.

The 1953 Brahms PC #1 in d with Curzon/van Beinum/Concertgebouw is also available in the 2003-issued Decca "Original Masters" 4-CD set [475.084]. The final volume (No. 4) of the Clifford Curzon series has also just been issued [475.8202, 7 CDs]. All of Curzon's Decca recordings are now available on four multi-CD boxed sets and beauties they are.
