OMG! Lance hits 3000 posts!

Post by Lance » Sat Mar 03, 2007 11:33 am

I just realized I hit 3,000 posts. Actually it is much more, but when we had our crash a couple of years ago, the counts were lost. This is a mere fraction of those by Ralph and Corlyss, but it's a landmark nonetheless!

Congratulations, and remember, though Ralph and Corlyss are both treasures as posters, both of them make a lot of posts which are just newspaper and magazine articles, something you and I never do (well, in my case, hardly ever).

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

OMG is right, Herr Dirketor! Congratulations to the real heart and soul of this place. You spend too little time here even with 3000 posts.

I spent 15 years with a committee that lived and died by handouts and 8 years operating a de facto salon which took as its starting point articles I posted on a cork board in my office. Just think of them as handouts posted on a virtual cork board for entertainment, possible discussion, or merely filing. :D

A grand pat on the back, good fellow!

Your enthusiasm & your moderation (in every sense of the word) are laudable.

I received the following e-mail:

"Dear Ralf,

Thanks for letting me know about Lance E. Hall's 3000th post. He's doing a heckuva job with Classic Musical Guide.

Best wishes,

George W. Bush"

And when told of this wonderful achievement, astronaut Lisa Marie Nowak commented, "Well, poop de doo!"

Seriously, congratulations. :D

Yes, Chad. And don't think we haven't noticed. Get crackin' there. You have a lot of catching up to do.
