CMG meet-up in countdown phase

Post by jbuck919 » Wed Jun 30, 2010 4:01 pm

It looks like we will be 24 on July 10 at 7:00 at Gabriel's in NYC. I sent that number in to Gabriel today and he said "fine, how do you want the tables set?" I'm tempted to respond "with plates and tableware at each place," but won't, and will figure out what he means. :) Thanks to all of you who have sent me your checks in such a timely fashion--it is much appreciated. I believe I have acknowledged everyone in PMs but if I overlooked you let me know.

Please post or PM if you need more information, and see you there!

John

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Be sure and take lots of pictures. :)

The check for me and my cellist friend Richard Sher as a guest has been sent. I just need to arrange a ride for me, since I'm in a wheelchair, as Richard will be coming separately. So please contact me soon as possible.Thanks.

Just a friendly bump in case someone was wondering if the absent-minded professor has forgotten all about it. :)

All is well. See you all on Saturday at Gabriel's at 7:00 (I suppose I should be a few minutes early). :D

We always arrive early in NYC because we have to find parking for the car--we'll make an afternoon of it--it's always nice walking in Central Park but I hope I can't do that because we get that rain our garden so needs! Regards, Len :)

Make an afternoon of finding parking? (I've forgotten how people pass time in NYC . . . .)

No, I don't think it will take a whole afternoon to find parking but you just can't come in and get a spot immediately--although I usually do! Regards, Len :D

We're just back from Europe, sent off the check on Tuesday. Can you please confirm that we are expected at Gabriel's on Saturday? Thanks. Ann

Enjoy it, and do please take loads of photos for the benefit of those of us who cannot attend.

On the matter of the pictures, hats off to those who braved the small space to take their shots. I had my camera too but had already had to prevail too many times on poor Donald Isler to pull his seat in so I could get by him. So thanks to those who did act as unofficial photographers.

It was great to meet fellow Members of CMG, unfortunately the layout of the room made table hopping a little tricky so I spent less time with some of our esteemed posters than I would have liked, and, MaestroB looked exactly like a Maestro...
