Werner Isler in Hospital/Rehab

Post by Donald Isler » Sun Jan 20, 2013 2:37 pm

A couple of weeks ago Dad fell a few times, without breaking anything, fortunately, since which he's spent time in the hospital, and now, in rehab. They're trying to increase his strength so that he can hopefully come home before long. Not easy to do when you're almost 91! A cousin gave me an IPod (neither Dad nor I had one) so at least he can now listen to some music. Otherwise he tries to keep active reading a big book about Lincoln, watching the news, and with daily visits from my mother and almost daily visits from me.

Donald, please pass on to your father my best wishes for his recovery. You can add my sympathy as one who has had to deal with a 90 (now 92) year old mother in rehab after a fall, and that one involved multiple vertebral fractures. Amazingly, she did make it back, and doesn't even need a walker. May that story cheer Werner, and may all go well for him.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

My very best wishes to Werner on a prompt recovery and resumption of what he enjoys to do every day. May he feel comfortable day and night and joyous when the sun rises.
