The Los Angeles Philharmonic 2014-2015 schedule has been posted online. Although the schedule is extremely interesting, including a lot of new or nearly new music (David Lang, Michael Gordon, Thomas Ades, Kaija Saariaho, Stephen Hartke, Fausto Romitelli, Beat Furrer, Matthias Pintscher, John Zorn, Olga Neuwirth, the Gorecki Fourth Symphony, Tan Dun, Unsuk Chin's opera "Alice in Wonderland," Bryce Dessner, Philip Glass, and others), one thing stands out: there is absolutely no Latin-American music on the schedule, none whatsoever. No Ginastera, no Revueltas, no Chavez, no Villa-Lobos, no contemporary Latin-American composers. I thought that this was one of the things that Dudamel was supposed to do--apparently he has given up on that.
