Classical musicians born in the YEAR OF THE MONKEY!

2016 : THE YEAR OF THE FIRE MONKEY

On February 8, we will be entering the Lunar New Year, and in China the Year of
the Monkey will be celebrated.

As a refresher to how the various "animal years" were initiated: the legend of
the god Buddha relates that, when he was to leave the earth, he invited all the
animals for a festivity. But only 12 animals showed up: the rat came initially,
followed by the ox, then the tiger, then the rabbit....so forth on down to the
dog and the pig, resulting in Buddha naming a year after each animal.

According to the Chinese astrologers (a much more reputable source, IMO, than
conventional Greek astrology), people born in the Monkey year are intelligent, inventive, entertaining, optimistic, and wise. But to these pluses must be added the minuses: Monkeys are also secretive, conniving, arrogant, restless, and indifferent.

People born in the Year Of The Monkey are most compatible with those from the
Rat and Dragon years, and should
avoid those born in the Tiger, Pig, Snake, and Rabbit years.
