It is an old joke, like Elgar's Enema Variations. Better was my college professor's announcement that the Glee Club would be performing the Haydn Tedium (not one of his great works, sad to say).

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.
