Donald,

As we say in showbiz, break a leg! Will there be a recording we can order?

Good luck to you!

Way back in the 1970s, I often went to Manhattanville College to work with an English professor named Robert O'Clair on a modern poetry anthology. He's long gone and nobody there is likely to remember me, though some may remember Bob, but I do remember the campus - a very attractive place.

If only I could be there. Although I understand it, the geography is incredibly confusing. Manhattanville has nothing to do with Manhattan, Purchase is a town in Westchester County, and Summit is the name of a true town in New Jersey where one of my extremely musical college classmates, Susan Haig, comes from and chose to retire to.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

We've been to both towns-Purchase several times for a garden experience-the pepsico facilites have a lovely garden. As for summit we've eaten at restaurants there several times-a very nice town-sure beats our Hackettstown! Regards, Len from the boondocks

That looks like an interesting and varied program, Donald. I'm sure it'll be very enjoyable for the audience.

BTW, I believe the last person that went to Purchase New York was Peter Stuyvesant.

Actually, I believe it was Peter Minuit who "purchased" New York (Manhattan, anyway). Peter Stuyvesant was the last Dutch governor.
