I would try to console Saint-Saens for the loss of his sons, and if possible try to reconcile him with his wife.
On a more cheerful note, I would like to meet the Haydn brothers, and seek FJH's advice on how to attract the attention of a patron as knowledgeable as Prince Nicholas the Magnificent. It's really amazing how the latter recognized that FJH was someone who had qualities that set him apart from the many great talents that flourished in the Austrian empire of the 18th century.

Let every thing that has breath praise the Lord! Alleluya!

I would love to meet with Toscanini, to reassure him and congratulate him on his success in influencing modern music-making. After he lost his way in his last live broadcast of all-Wagner fare, I think he would appreciate that he is still remembered and admired, even though he said "I am no longer a maestro!" I would remind him of Billy Wilder's famous quote: "You're as good as the best you've done."

Hildegard Von Bingen, i'd ask her exactly what did it feel like to be "A feather on the breath of God?"
