RCA 01808, 2 CDs, 123'30"

Here's an interesting set that was released in September 2014. Somehow I missed it as it gives important opera excerpts with incredible co-artists and conductors and the Italian songs all on a mere two CDs.

Opera-wise, the excerpts emanate from Luisa Miller, La traviata, Ernani, Lucia di Lammermoor, Macbeth, Un ballo in maschera, and Edgar. Also included is an excerpt from Verdi's Requiem.

The second image above illustrates all collaborators and conductors. The Italian songs first appeared on Sony Classical CD 60785 all recorded at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York on March 30th, 1977. The original Sony CD is going for between $4 and $80 online. Quite a contrast in price making the issue above much more appealing to Bergonzi fans.
