By George!

It's been years--decades, actually--since I listened to one of my LPs, entitled "By George!" It's an all-Gershwin album by Andre Watts, consisting of a solo version of Rhapsody in Blue, and transcriptions of 16 songs. I vaguely remember enjoying it so, looking for something different to listen to while taking a walk, I purchased it for my iPhone.

Why did I wait so long? The performance of Rhapsody in Blue is superb in every way--rhythmically free, virtuosic--and equally enjoyable without the orchestra (and perhaps even more interesting in this format). The songs are gorgeously rendered. It's a winner!
