The pianist has cancelled all concerts till June. Inflammation in left arm.

Please, what is the "DL"?

I don't mind Lang Lang. He loves the music and imparts that passion and enthusiasm to many millions of fans who otherwise wouldn't listen to this music.

Sorry, the DL is shorthand for disabled list, a list of injured baseball players. I don't mind Lang Lang either: the more he is put down by the cognoscenti, the more I like him.

I'm very sorry to hear this about Lang Lang, or any pianist who endures such things. While I have never been totally convinced of his playing, he has a masterly technique, and now having all his recordings made thus far, I still feel the same way, but am still vastly interested in his career. He has done much for classical piano music and in interesting other young pianists in the field.
