Interview with Murray Perahia

Post by jbuck919 » Wed May 03, 2017 5:29 am

Forgive me if this is ancient history. I only know that I don't remember seeing it posted here, and think it well worth a read. ... ay-perahia

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

John, thank you for that: I hadn't seen it before. Fascinating interview. I had always wondered why Perahia had not played the Beethoven Op. 111. I hope he gets around to recording it soon. I would love to have a complete set of Beethoven from the new edition he's working on!
