today`s bard dimitri

Bard accomplished one thing for us-dimitri is definitely a wonderful opera-the singing and acting were great-as for the set and costumes not nearly as much-the back wall that was there for the whole opera resembled a high school gymnasium-way too many suits-updating it was kind of ridiculous imho. A worthwhile opera experience that could have been superb if they had done it grand opera style-dimitri deserves tha't kind of treatment! Len from saratoga springs

Now tommasini has weighed in-he says the opera is slightly flawed-I disagree-it`s this updated production that`s flawed. Len
