Delaware Opera New Season

We have been going down to Wilmington Delaware for operas last 2 springs and enjoying them but their season for the rest of 2017 and 2018 just arived and it doesn't turn me on that much. Regards, Len :(

April 28-May 6, 2018

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Puccini's Il Trittico! Seven glorious one-acts in two weekends: Il Tabarro & Suor Angelica; Gianni Schicchi & Buoso’s Ghost (Michael Ching's contemporary sequel to Schicchi); plus Opera Uncorked with Swigg: A Flight of Puccini, a special concert performance of Act I of La Bohème, Act II of Tosca, and Act III of Madama Butterfly.

Join us for our exciting new Opera Uncorked series with partner Swigg Real Wine, Craft Beer & Spirits, featuring operatic highlights by some of today’s most exciting vocalists (with OperaDelaware’s new Principal Pianist and Chorus Master, Aurelien Eulert) paired with optional wine/beer tastings. A great way for opera lovers and newcomers alike to enjoy beautiful music and tasty beverages in the casual setting of our Riverfront Studios!

Patrons who choose to participate in the optional beer/wine tastings can purchase tasting tickets at the performance for $10; Must be 21 or older to participate in tastings. A full cash bar will also be available.

3.WERTHER IN CONCERT
November 18 & 19, 2017

Loosely based on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe Goethe's novel The Sorrows of Young Werther, Jules Massenet's tragic opera about unrequited love comes to life in this intimate concert (with piano) at the OperaDelaware Studios. A special collaboration with the Baltimore Concert Opera and the Wilmington Children’s Chorus
