Our first la finta-very nice performance-imaginative lovely sets, good singing, wonderful acting and stage presence by all. You sure could hear mozart opera music in this opera he wrote as an 18 year old! Len

Belle, LOL, no koi but there was a large snake during the thyrsius and chloris segment in the latter part of act2-also plenty of plants and even a few moving trees and loads of flowers! Len

I can't get excited about anything before Die Entfürung, but I'm glad you enjoyed it. When I was teaching in Maryland, I had an extremely talented student who brought in a poster for an opera his equally talented sister was singing in called The Goose of Cairo. It took me a good minute to realize that this was the opera whose name I had only ever heard in Italian, L'oca del Cairo.

John I hear you-it's not up there with his masterpieces but they did such a nice job with the production and they all acted so well it was very pleasurable. We had tickets earlier this year to hear it at the off beat onsite opera but I got sick and we had to miss it-I have a feeling what we saw yesterday blew the onsite out of the water-that one was outside in a small community garden on the upper westside.
