In the past I have posted the first performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors during the holiday season. Many people do not know that this was conducted by Thomas Schippers, who was only 21 at the time and happened to be one of Gian Carlo Menotti's lovers (not known at the time, of course). Here he is on WML, with the panel clearly clueless as to who he is.
