Not going to add this Odine to my 50’s Gitlis / Horenstein Vox lp and later Vox cd of # 2 , but Tetzlaff certainly worth the hearing, more “ polished” than Gitlis , Gitlis more emotionally “ gritty” sound. Heard only the VC # 2. Would think big fans of the work would want both.

I haven't figured Ivry Gitlis out yet. There was an odd kind of 5-CD boxed set issued by British Decca [5346246] that I acquired one day. I hear good reports and I hear bad reports. I never saw the man live but he interests me. Other recordings appear on RCA (with Argerich, pianist), EMI, EMI/Japan, Philips, Music & Arts, Arcoboleno, Brilliant Classics, Helicon, 2 CDs on SWR Music, and of course Vox. So, he seems well represented on discs. Do you have any of his other material on CD? Love to hear more about this guy.

My concertos Vox Box, cheap at Amazon-US. In addition to the Bartok # 2 , the Sibelius is very fine, as is I recall the Tchaikovsky.Reviews as well, fww.
