I already have the two LP-sized boxes of Bernstein, so my question is, with the acquisition of this new set due in August, will that COMPLETE the entire Bernstein catalogue of recordings for Columbia/Sony and RCA? What could possibly be next? I already have much on CD of what is contained in this new release (except for many of the contemporary works). I see the photo is from the Amazon/UK site. I'll see what Amazon/USA wants for this set.

Regarding SZELL, I have decided NOT to acquire this boxed set. (Down the road, perhaps, I might change my mind.) Collectors always face these kinds of dilemmas! Decisions ... decisions!

I haven't seen this posted yet on Amazon USA or UK. It is still probably in the production schedule. Lots of interesting material therein.

Thank you, Joe. That's the German Amazon. I guess it amounts to around $110/USD. It says shipping is free, but I doubt it means to the USA. What think?

Actually, if you order it from Amazon Germany, they will subtract the VAT tax, so it goes down to 79.82Euros, or about $96US. So, even after they stick you with a ridiculous shipping fee, probably $25 or so, it is still a pretty remarkable bargain.

You know, you are absolutely right on this. I put a pre-order in to Amazon Germany for this and the postal fee was showing as around 3 pounds British currency. So, in the end, it looks like this set will run in about $2/USD+ per disc. That's not a bad price for this set. I have NOT seen it advertised on Amazon USA or England as yet. If it becomes cheaper in the USA, I can withdraw my order from Germany before they ship, but past experience tells me it will NOT be cheaper from the USA.
