So, Sony has released an 11-CD boxed set of Bernstein the Pianist, his RCA and Columbia recordings. The problem is, without an in-depth analysis, is whether all this material is already contained (or will be when the VOCAL edition comes forth) in the big LP-shaped boxed sets. Released June 8, 2018, by Sony separating his piano-playing recordings this way, are we still duplicating some/much of the repertoire? The price is decent for 11 CDs. But, oh, the possible duplications/triplications, etc.
