These are all elementary pieces for a "young pianist." I could once have played them all myself, including the third movement of the Opus 27 no. 2, (not Opus 14) which is much easier than it sounds or looks like when watching a performance. I am way past form for that now, but it is hard to impress me with the stated repertory.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.

Finished hearing. Will need to listen again, especially since some of these works were unfamiliar to me.

BBC Music Magazine October 2018 :
Unexpected tempos, but the atmosphere is unmistakable. Kolesnikov finds nocturnal quietude in the Moonlight Sonata, and his lucid, thoughtful approach pays off elsewhere too.

International Piano September/October 2018:
This new release is a fascinating journey through early- and middle- period Beethoven. Kolesnikov’s playing is focused and involving. The opening movement of the Moonlight shows rippling textures which are superbly rendered.
