Ma's new Bach Suites cd set

I do suggest that you listen to them because they are a gorgeous performance. Nobody can explain the Bach cello suites. Though I'm sure he knew the basics of the instrument, it was not one of his. In a contrapuntal sense, they are all but impossible. No cellist in his own time is known to have accomplished them, which alas is true of the performance of a great deal of his music. I mean, could Goldberg actually play the hardest passages of the Goldberg Variations?
