A new discovery suggested by a recent review posted at another group. My first hearings.
Not “ Art of the Fugue “ , nor the “Hammerklavier “ fugue, nor the Barber Sonata “ Fuga “ , but delightful, lyrical, several gems, remarkable for the era . About 2 hours total , but suggest batches of 6 over a couple days . I’ve heard the set thru once ; will definitely re-hear.To whet appetites , the CPO cd set recording on autoplay, pianist Tiny ( yes ) Wirtz :

All cd sets, physical or downloads, still bit pricey for me. Czech Pianist Ivan Illic with Chandos has agreed to record all Czech Reicha’s solo piano ! :

His "57 Variations" are also at YT, with many interrupting ads which were not helpful to listening, but the Variaitions did not make much impression on me first hearing, thought the above and the earlier posted 36 Fugues “ better.”
