Adams,Glass Violin Concertos

Post by Rach3 » Sun Nov 04, 2018 9:06 am

As a couple members discussed in the " Tomassini" topic here music of John Adams and Philip Glass they enjoy, thought I'd mention a couple I enjoy:

Adams' Violin Concerto ( perhaps my fav work of his ) :

Glass' Violin Concerto No.1 :

My recording is a Telarc cd containing both works, with violinist Robert McDuffie, Houston Symphony under Eschenbach, which cd I can recommend highly. The performances linked above are by different artists.

Yes, I have that CD and admire it. Both works are well worth knowing.
