Brilliant 5-CD set 95674

Anca Vasile Caraman, violin
Alessandro Trebeschi, piano

Antonio Bazzini today may be remembered for chiefly one piece for violin and piano, his La Ronde des Lutins, which probably most great violinist have recorded. On it's own, it is a fine, virtuosic piece and might make one wonder what else Bazzini wrote.

If you love opera and all the many transcriptions Liszt and many others have composed for piano or other instruments, this will be a set (it's inexpensive!) to acquire the complete opera transciptions for violin and piano. Composers include Bellini, Donizetti, Mazzucato, Verdi, Weber and Pacini. Recordings were all made in Italy in November 2017 at the famous Bartok Studio. Performers do the job exceeding well and recording quality is excellent throughout.

You will dig this one out when you want to be highly entertained and nothing else will do!
