Heard this am for first time the Violin and Cello Concertos of Bliss (1891-1975), having previously been familiar with his Piano Concerto. I can recommend hearing these, perhaps in a PC, CC, then VC order:
Sir Arthur Bliss’ Violin Concerto, Campoli ,violin, Bliss conducting the BBC Symphony, 1955 Decca ( I believe ) recording :

I would also add this contemporary of Bliss, Swede Kurt Atterberg, whose Piano Concerto, Cello Concerto and Violin Concerto are all at YT and very worth hearing. After more re-hearings of these Bliss and Atterberg works, I may have purchases to make.

Re: Concertos of Sir Arthur Bliss
I have the excellent Naxos CD of the Bliss piano concerto and two piano concert with Martin Roscoe and David Lloyd Jones conducting . The pain concerto is a real bravado virtuoso concerto and deserves to be better known .
Re: Concertos of Sir Arthur Bliss
I also have that Naxos of the PC. Completely agree !! Today I just downloaded the Naxos of his Cello Concerto. It's on YT, have a listen, think you may like it, too.

I suppose the version of the piano concerto to have is Solomon's - he played the world premiere at the 1939 World Fair in New York. Not on YouTube; all that's there is the slow movement from the broadcast of the premiere. I don't know the other Bliss concertos at all.

Solomon recorded the Bliss Piano Concerto soon after the premiere for EMI: it's available in the Icon box pictured below for only $13 on amazon, a true bargain!John F wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 3:29 amI suppose the version of the piano concerto to have is Solomon's - he played the world premiere at the 1939 World Fair in New York.
