Robert Casadesus (piano) 65-CD set arrived today!

All I can say is WHAT a package. One of the best books I've found among mega-sets in a long time. Some surprises, too, not just Robert Casadesus, but the recordings his son Jean made for RCA Victor, including Debussy songs with soprano Anna Moffo, a private recording of Jean performing Beethoven's PC #3 with Mitropoulos conducting (that originated from Binghamton, New York!), Debussy Preludes (Book I), which nicely rounds out this Casadesus tribute. Naturally, Robert's wife, Gaby, is included in any Columbia recordings they made. I see Amazon has already raised the price by $20/USD for this set. Exceedingly well put together. Also, all his 78-rpm discs are included in excellent transfers.

When she started to play, Mr. Steinway came down and personally
rubbed his name off the piano. [Speaking about pianist &*$#@+#]
