Pianist Severin von Eckardstein new cd-Debussy,Dupont

I missed this release, apparently in Europe in Sept.,2018 ( per YT ) , in USA April,2019 per Amazon-US, the pianist’s recording on the Artalinna label. Annoying YT ads , but the ticket price is good, and decent sound for YT . Gabriel DuPont’s ( 1878-1914 ) suite “La maison dans les dunes “ and Debussy’s ( 1862-1918) “Images pour piano “ :

There is another DuPont solo piano suite,”Les Heures Dolentes” , which I slightly prefer, but “La Maison” is wonderful and a good introduction to these neglected works and composer. I have a different recording , on Mirare with Marie-Catherine Girod, of portions of both, and the complete “Les Heures” is also at YT with pianist Emille Naoumoff : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeQG1krY8UI&t=4s

Have no references beyond Girod and Naoumoff in these works, but feel confident stating Von Eckardstein’s playing is very impressive here, as it usually is ( one of my fav pianists ). He is to be commended for advocating this neglected repertoire and his label as well for allowing him to do so.The Debussy , of course, provides another much more familiar opportunity to evaluate his pianism ( eg. rubato, texture in “Hommage a Rameau”, “ Poissons” ),and compare the composers.
