A heads up for next Thursday,June 13, I believe this will be the SWR cd :

Émission du 13/06 - 20:00 ( 2:00 pm US EDT )
https://www.rtbf.be/musiq3/emissions/de ... 1#livearea

Programme :
J.S. Bach : Toccata en mi mineur BWV 914
D. Scarlatti : Sonates K.132, K.193, K.87
Beethoven : Sonate n°32 en ut mineur op.111
R. Schumann : Bunte-Blätter, op.99
R. Schumann: Abegg-Variationen op.1
Debussy : Etudes nos. 10 et 7
Ravel : Sonatine en fa dièse mineur
Bis :
J.S. Bach/F. Busoni : Nun komm der Heiden Heiland BWV 659
R. Schumann : Abschied (Waldszenen, op.82)

Some or all of this material may have been previously issued on:

Music & Arts 859, Ludwigsburg 4/11/53
and/or
Tahra 368 - Ludwigsburg 4/11/53

The only thing that may make the SWR disc better is that they use the original master tapes. I'm uncertain of what M&A's or Tahra's source is. Anything by Clara Haskil, though, is hugely worth having.

The Op.111 here was not good, start to finish. The Schumann was the most successful of the program. Nothing legendary, but in fairness just 1 recital, and an off day? Just my IMHO,of course. I defer to the Haskill experts.
