Any news of Karl Henning?
Any news of Karl Henning?
Just asking if he's recovering and how he is.
He and I didn't get on too well for various reasons but I was always ready to appreciate him as a composer.
I wrote a soliloquy for clarinet but never gave it to him.
I wish him well all the same and wonder if anyone has news and if in contact, please pass my sincere regards.
Many thanks.

Re: Any news of Karl Henning?
He is busy writing on another music board, probably as we speak. He seemed to have been out of action in that regard for about 2 weeks or so, as far as I can tell!!

Re: Any news of Karl Henning?
Oddly, I have heard nothing from Karl Henning since his illness quite some time ago. I had some correspondence with his wife, Maria Bablyak, but cannot find the e-mail now. I checked his web site but cannot find any way to contact him directly. Apparently he is "up and running" again, thankfully.

Thank you for these snippets. At least he seems to have recovered. I don't have a Faceache account so unless he has a public page I won't be able to visit it. I'll try, though.
Edit: There are so many Karl Hennings on Faceache....

Just register with GMG Classical Music Forum and you'll find him.

Hmm. I'm curious why he isn't visiting us any longer.

Re: Any news of Karl Henning?
Long ago, about the time as I turned up here I registered on GMG but for a reason long forgotten didn't stay. Something about it put me off and I'm more interested in the composition side anyway. I also read somewhere it had a tie-up with Amazon. Again, forgotten the reference. I tried to reregister this morning but it got pernickety about what the password must contain so I left it off for now. They're funny-peculiar, some of these sites.
Probably best to leave it at that. Consoling that he's up and about. Good news. Hope he's composing/playing again.
If anyone's interested here's the solo I wrote for him. 4 minutes. Atonal.
