Hamelin / Wosner live

Post by Rach3 » Thu Apr 16, 2020 2:20 pm

I watched the Hamelin here thru the Scriabin. Be patient as after you click on the play arrow, takes about 3 mins to come on, to give you a chance to donate to the Y, but a donation not required. The Enescu a must hear for pianophiles, my first hearing. I had also not heard him play the Bach, Faure or Scriabin ( a fav of mine ).Sound not ideal, but the ticket price is !

ENESCU: Choral and Carillon Nocturne, Op. 18, Nos. 6 and 7
FAURÉ: Nocturne No. 6 in D-flat Major, Op. 63
SCRIABIN: Fantasie in B Minor, Op. 28
LISZT: Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude
DEBUSSY: selections from Préludes, Book 2
4. «Les fées sont d’exquises danseuses»: Rapide et léger
5. Bruyères: Calme
6. Général Lavine – eccentric: Dans le style et le mouvement d'un Cakewalk
7. La terrasse des audiences du clair de lune: Lent
11. Les tierces alternées: Modérément animé
12. Feux d’artifice: Modérément animé

Also there of interest ( I have not heard yet ) pianist Shai Wosner, one I follow, live April 5 playing Schubert's D.894 and 960 Sonatas. I believe he has a cd in the works of the last 3 Sonatas plus perhaps 894.
