Music from Terezin

Post by Rach3 » Mon Aug 24, 2020 5:15 pm

Listened today, thanks to a tip from friends who attended the Edinburgh Festival,2014 concert.Simply put, not to be missed. The Schulhoff-Bach-Taube-Weber sequence……

I did not hear the Beethoven, which was a recording not part of the live concert.

Program notes of great interest are given between the works by the artists.

From BBC Radio 3 : “Swedish soprano Anne Sofie von Otter, violinist Daniel Hope, pianist Bengt Forsberg and Bebe Risenfors on accordion, double bass and guitar in a recital of songs and instrumental music composed or performed in Terezin concentration camp during World War II. Originally broadcast live from the Queen’s Hall in 2014.”
