"Cliftwood" is back on CMG!!!
Our good friend, Harris/Cliftwood, is back on CMG. One of our great contributors of the past was not able to log on after a change he made in his profile. I found a way to get around that and am proud that I was successful.
You will enjoy Cliftwood ... a wonderful writer about music, very enthusiastic, who, along with his lovely wife, Pepper, has joined us in the past for our reunions in New York City.
Please welcome Cliftwood!

Great to see you back Harris.

Well, well!
So very pleased and happy that you could join us again, good friend! You've been greatly missed!
Welcome back.
I see above that your publicity team (Len & Sue) is already hard at work!

Just to remind you, Len, that cliftwood studied with Rudolf Serkin at Curtis when he was a lad, and he heard Rachmaninoff play live! His opinions on piano matters have greatly informed many of my purchasing decisions to my great satisfaction over the years, as have my many discussions with Pepper on opera.lennygoran wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:32 amBrian I could be your publicity agent too-I have the photos! Brian thanks-that's great to know-would love to meet them both sometime-it's gonna be awhile before we can think about forum dinners. I really am very grateful for the kind words from some of my old friends.
So many good memories of this forum over the many years. Names pop up in my head like
John Ball, Bob Zeidler, Gene Barnes, Shelia Bloom, Tom Dill, Peter Czipott, Rik Cashman, Brian Conway, Bikejack, A.C Douglas, Maestrissimo, Chalkie, Werner Isler, Karl Henning, Tom Kerch, Scott Morrison, Henry Maurer, Reblem, Mark Simon, Lofstra, the Horn, Wallingford.....and I forget so many more..
My warmest regards to Brian, Lenny, Donald, Ricordanza, Barney and Lance for your greetings and welcome.
I'll be 90 in 6 weeks, so I do have so many musical memories from the past that I'll try to share on occasion.
Meanwhile, please stay safe, wear your masks and hope this Covid nightmare is over before I keel over.
Later.

Harris ... 90 in six weeks? You've GOT to be kidding. I would never have guessed it. It must be Pepper who keeps you looking youthful! Anyway, we are happy you are back amongst us!
