Thank you, maestrob, for posting this link. I had the opportunity to listen to the entire program last night. The Bach English Suite was delightful. The simplicity of his hand motion and fingering underlined that the music is engaging and fun to play.
The Beethoven was extraordinary, and his reading of the Eroica Variations was as astounding as that of the Hammerklavier Sonata. How fortunate we are to be able to see and hear these performances from over 50 years ago on the occasion of Beethoven's Bicentennial celebration.
