maestro..
I want to thank you for your good wishes, your incredible generosity and your friendship over so many years. I've learned much from your wealth of musical knowledge.
It's a mystery to me how I still have a life after 93 years and music has been one of the main reasons life has remains precious.
My best hugs to you and your wonderful bride for a safe, healthy and..forgive me..a Trumpless 2024.

Indeed, have a wonderful birthday. 93? I would never have guessed. Whatever you're doing, keep doing! (i.e., listening to great music, I still call it the best medicine, physically and mentally). We have all appreciated you on CMG. Many happy returns!

Thanks, Holden. We went to a very nice restaurant in a quaint little village near here. It's nice to get the calls and sms on your birthday as that way you know you're still alive!!!
Tonight we watched "Diabolique" a French film from 1955 starring Simone Signoret. Described as a psychological horror/thriller it kept me engaged and on the edge of my seat with a restored print - the spouse was asleep before the end!! The writers were Boileau-Narcejac whose novel "From Amongst the Dead" provided the plot for Hitchcock's "Vertigo". That French duo was the French equivalent of Stephen King.

Belle, how could I have possibly missed your birthday? Well, as late as it is, I hope you had a wonderful and memorable time, which you apparently did! Congrats on another year. I hope they keep coming (for all of us).

Thanks, Lance, though I do admit to losing a certain amount of enthusiasm for lots of things with each passing year. The spirit is willing.....that sort of thing.
