I had the good fortune of hearing her live in 1971, Prokofieff's 2nd Sonata,Schumann's "Fantasiestucke", one encore was Liszt's "La Campanella". Tiny lady in a huge hoop dress. Very warm rapport , audience loved her.

Wouldn't it have been great to hear her, just like Horszowski, at 100. However, 99 is awesome.

A fabulous pianist and much admired by yours truly. We corresponded frequently, exchanged Christmas cards, interviewed her via phone for my radio program and, of course, have collected all of her recordings. She even sent me several and some DVDs. Such personality and wamrth! I wish her well in her 99th year! Lovely article to read here on CMG.
