Nope. The law student is our older daughter, Anna. She's just been home for 4 days in fact which is why I haven't been reading Stanley Fish. She just aced her first year at U of A in Edmonton. Look out, Ralph. She wrote the Orange Juice song and Emily is wearing her dress in the video (sisters do that I guess). We also have a third "daughter", our son's wife, who is like a daughter to us.

Anyway, Anna (not the one singing) has a CD out and if the girls ever finish the web site I will post the link here as it will have a few downloadable songs. Emily sings harmonies on the CD.

Anna must be very bright. It's much harder to get into Canada's few (about 21) law schools then to gain admission here. We get a number of excellent Canadian students every year who just couldn't get into a Canadian school because of the tight quota.

She made Dean's Honours List at Queen's (in Ontario) and majored in English with a minor in Math. She originally planned to be a high school teacher but then decided in her second year at Queen's she never liked the high school environment all that much and that it wasn't going to be much different as a teacher than it had been as a student. I suggested that she look at law as a career because she always won every argument she ever had with me. Seriously though, she has a logical mind as the minor in Math demonstrates, as well as being able to express herself. She absolutely loves the subject in spite of finding the work load excruciating. She told me this week that her first year at law school was the first time she felt she'd really accomplished something in her life. She had no problem getting in.
