1) Impressing a date's parents: I can turn on the charm when need be; no unsightly tattoos/piercings; college-educated; etc.

2) Mini-golf: I'm no Tiger, but I can hit the ball cleanly and in the general direction I'm aiming!

3) Communicating with foreigners: I've had to learn out of necessity with all of the traveling I've done.

4) Glass blowing: I've never tried this, and I expect it to result in disaster, but I would at least HOPE I could get something out of it.

5) Origami dragon: I've tried origami before, and I just can't do small folds evenly. Sad.

6) Creating a floral arrangement: I like to say that all of my talents are found in my ears, not my eyes. I'm horrible when it comes to visual stuff, so I shudder to think of what I'd come up with.

7) Avoiding a ticket: I've tried...and failed. Several times.

- Talking your way out of a speeding ticket - I have Never have been stopped for speeding.
- Glass blowing - Never tried it.
- Impressing your date's parents when you meet them for the first time - This situation had never came to me, it has never gotten so serious that I would meet the parents.
- Mini-golf/Putt-Putt - I think I'll do just fine.
- Creating a floral arrangement for a wedding - I think I can create a nice arrangement.

- My origami dragon looks like something my cat dragged in.
- Communicating without a common language is a guessing game that usually ends up in giggles and hand signals. I manage.

(not dragons...but quite good at cranes...made a chain of 1,000 minis for a friend fighting cancer)

(worked many months in Mexico and Taiwan without speaking the local language and became very good at charades & Pictionary)

(tried several times and it never once worked, in fact..I suspect I was once close to getting arrested)

(actually got to try this at the Renaissance Fair... looked like a lump of molten lava that imploded)

(don't have any remarkable memories of this...curious)

(great...up until the windmill. Can never get past that)

(only if creating an emergency cake topper out of a small styro bowl turned upside down and poking holes in it to arrange lots of flowers counts.)

I'm pleased to report I've never had a speeding ticket....but did get a warning once in Chicago, about 15 years ago. When dating in the 1950's & early 1960's always got along very well with parents. Those were different times, when one was expected to pick up the young lady at home and get her back home by a reasonable if not specific time. And most often we were using public transportation, which ran less frequently after midnight. During cold weather I was always invited in for hot chocolate or tea before venturing back out into the elements.
