Pet Strollers for Dogs...now I have seen everything...
I'm visiting Starr at our home in Florida, we went to the upscale mall, I saw five people with strollers for their Dogs, at first I thought I must be dreaming, I thought dogs were supposed to walk...craziest thing I ever saw...

Well, for many people, pets are indeed proxies for children!

I must tell my son. I wonder if there is anything available
for golden retrievers.

Actually, there are disabled dogs who can only get out this way for a walk. There are also wheelchairs for crippled dogs that work wonders. Nevertheless, as you say, most people who buy the strollers are just playing dolly with their unfortunate dogs.

Au contraire mes amis....these strollers are not always used because people treat their pets
as children. In my senior facility apartment complex, pets are not allowed to run free in common
areas for the obvious reason that older people and pets sometimes do not mix, especially as
they can be trip hazards, if not tooth and claw hazards. The consequence is that dog owners,
who must "walk" their pets for relief purposes, use such appliances as a means to get them
outside, where they are required to be leashed for the further protection of residents.
These carriers also allow pets to mix with fellow residents while safely ensconced in their
strollers. After all, an excited dog racing full speed to greet a friend does not always mix
well with a slow-moving senior using a walker. Of course, the same logic applies to dogs
in public places in general, and not all pet owners are responsible enough to keep their
"loved ones" under control at all times.
